Collect items for our winter clothing and toy drives!

We want to ensure that the Brilliant Detroit families have a safe and magical holiday season. With this in mind, we are asking our community to donate new and gently used children's winter clothing as well as new, unwrapped children's gifts. Since children grow so quickly, our families are in need of warm winter gear each year. We also like to celebrate our youths' accomplishments throughout the year by giving them a fun holiday gift. We will distribute the donated items at our neighborhood hubs to the families that we serve. If it is of interest to you, it may be possible to support the distributions themselves as well.

 

We are asking that all donations are received by December 2nd to give us adequate time to distribute goods to our sites. We are asking volunteers to drop off the donated items at our McDougall-Hunt which is located at 2706 Charlevoix St. Detroit, MI by December 2nd. We will have a staff member onsite from 9am-5pm Nov. 28th-Dec. 2nd. If you are not able to drop off the collected items during that period of time, please let me know and we can look to make an alternative arrangement.

 

Please consider hosting a drive to collect the items listed below. You are welcome to collect winter clothes, gifts, or a combination of both. When responding to this post, please let us know what types of items you hope to collect.
